In an hours-long meeting, even an armchair ceases to be comfortable.
Sometimes a cat provides succor to a languishing committee member.
Sometimes one needs to stand up and stretch the long limbs.
Sometimes eating an apple is necessary to keep from simply wasting away.
Sometimes one has to stand up and read a statement in front of the room.
The meeting adjourns—and more than the memory of those discussions I am left with these sketched faces and postures and impressions.
